Hi all I learnt a lot tonight while out on my Silk at a local biker cafe It appears that Silks were made in Spain or so I was told by a learned expert as they have the 'Derby' name stamped on the engine and they made bikes in Spain.....

I do love these experts who know everything we dont....

Actually Barcelona was where the main building took place of these iconic race machines. I thought everyone knew that ....

This is a perfect example to how history makes it self. Didn't the expert notice the Ossa exhaust also fitted to the Spanish bike? and was he absolutely sure the engine wasn't a Suzuki because when I worked in the Spanish factory in Derby and we took the bikes out for test runs or home in the evenings to put some miles on them, at the pubs I rode to I was definitely told on more than one occasion that the Derby factory fitted Suzuki engines. Smokey Paul what did this bloke look like? it might be the same person!
