Well gearbox inspected my 6301 bearing was perfect and as new but the needle roller was as stated cracked and very worn. I was very lucky in removing the outer case as everything stayed in place incuding the bushes on the end of the shafts and the bearing held in place in the kickstart gear.
Everything now cleaned and new bearings fitted and new oil to go in tomorrow.
