steering top yoke or repair

Has any one a top steering yoke for 700s please-- seems some clever chap glued part of stanchions clamps  together presumably broke it through over tightening HELP!

be careful on tightening they can crack, a good welder will be able to repair it for you and then get it machined as a spare.  Kev

Hello Peter,  Gasman and Clive should keep you right, but if you want any extra advice at any time give me a call (01330 833665) as I have been through exactly the same trauma, except without the glue, as I was the eejit that broke my own one.  I also still have my old broken parts, so if you want to collaborate, I would be happy to add mine to the mix in the hope that this could make a more worthwhile project for a suitably skilled welder.  Andrew

I have a suitable welder to hand if people want to send them to me but he is very fussy and requires vapour blasting first. He is not cheap but is welding is exceptional and I also have a very good vapour blasting service also.

Thanks for everyones help so far, I've bought anew one from Clive done a bit fettling and now its painted ready for fitting regards  Peter

May consider having the old one welded some time,
