SILK 700S MK2,gearbox problem.

Hi
  Fitted  a new velocette reverse camplate, to give 1 down 3 up gearchange.
Sometimes jumps out of gear, underload in third on hills,other wise o/k.
Anyone have any thoughts on this, gearbox is in perfect condition.

   Problem now fixed, was rose joint linkage,not operating smoothly,catching.
Had made and fitted stainless operating arm,one extra washer,now fine.
I like replacing any plated item,with stainless.
