New to Silk's

Hi all, a quick introduction and a question.

An edit to this, the bike is in Australia and the frame is stamped SE 1? see photo.




I’ve just bought one of the first Mk1s and plan to get it back on the road, as it’s been sitting since the 1970s. For that, I’m going to need plenty of guidance and encouragement from the old hands, along with some firm direction from the motivated!

The engine number is DPY5175 (1948, I believe).

What I’d like to ask is: is there any build data available for these bikes? I’d be interested to know the date it was built, original specification, colour, options, and, if possible, who originally bought it.
Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated.
