Fuel consumption

Out on a 90 mile run yesterday and the Silk was running beautifully, but I was taken by surprise by the amount of fuel I used,. I was not measuring precisely but I reckon less than 30 mpg. Is this typical?

I reckon to get about 35 mpg but I'm not riding it that hard.  I believe they are more thirsty than the brochure would have you believe.  At least it has a big tank!

Thanks - that was rather the conclusion I was coming to. I reckon I was below 30mpg but I was having to work the Silk in hilly country.
