Air filter

Bill
Which one would be best for my Sabre. When I aquired the bike the foam fillter had turned to dust, I purchased a cone shaped metal filter from Lightening Spares in Manchester, will it do the job.

Any help please

Bill if my bike is to go by then deff the foam filter is needed, I have had to add a layer of foam over my metal cone type so it runs correctly.

Paul has bought a foam type and we await with baited breath to see if this one works ok.

ebay. item number 271097709603

P.S do I have your bike details on record, frame and eng numbers.

Yes I can agree with that I bought this from eBay:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271097709603?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

All I can say so far the bike runs much crisper and starts much easier than compared with the cone type filter.

I found I had to adjust the mixture screw slightly to find the sweet point after changing the filter types so they must act differently and the foam types are deffinately the type that work for me.

Hope this helps.

I have been riding my bike to work most days and have done some other runs too and found the bike is running perfectly with the Ram Air Filter fitted. The plug runs a nice toasty brown with no black on the electrode at all.

I will be putting my K&N in the bin I think and I will not be fitting it back on the bike soon for sure.

The Ram Air I bought is linked above in this post and fits in the carb area perfectly also.
